Lead Wedding Planner

Work Week Responsibilities:

  • Independently plan and execute weddings

    • Schedule and attend meetings

    • Solve problems independently

    • Find & coordinate with vendors through email and phone calls

    • Fulfill all responsibilities outlined in the client’s booked planning package, including but not limited to:

      • Vendor outreach

      • Timeline creation

      • Floor plan creation

      • Linen order submission

      • Final details meeting

      • Final walk-through (often at venue)

      • Confirming all details with every vendor

      • Rehearsal

    • Collect decor items for each wedding

    • Arrive at the Studio prior to each wedding to load flowers and decor

    • Execute each wedding with 1 assistant coordinator

  • Complete logistical tasks for all Privé weddings

    • Decor rental gathering and organization

    • Printing and creating binders for planners

    • Double-checking all floral quantities and rentals during the loading

    • Rental clean-up and maintenance

  • Shop Attendant

    • Opening and closing duties

    • Organize and clean the shop

    • Answer phone calls and take orders

    • Local deliveries

    • Take initiative around the shop and storage units to improve them

    • Additional, random tasks and errands that you are asked to do to help the team or clients!

Wedding Day Responsibilities:

  • Arrive early to the Shop to load rentals and florals

  • Act as a personal assistant to the clients

  • Understand/study all event details such as décor, timelines, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, special guests, equipment, etc.

  • Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems

  • Works well with little, to no, supervision or instruction

  • Willing and able to take direction and constructive criticism without offense

  • Execution of all design elements on the wedding day

  • Serve as point of contact for vendors

  • Assist with ceremony set up, décor set up, and facilitate and implement reception set up. Therefore carrying and lifting decor.

  • Give cues and coordinate flow of the day

  • Handle issues that may arise and field questions from guests to ensure guest satisfaction

  • Load gifts, décor, extra food, etc., into assigned vehicles

  • Wedding floral set up

  • Taking rentals and florals back to the Shop by 10am the following day

Are You The Right Fit?:

  • At least 1 year of wedding planning experience

  • Detail oriented! In your initial email, please let us know your favorite flower type.

  • Charismatic, outgoing person

  • Great with people, organization, planning, handling stress, and communication

  • Authentically passionate about being a wedding and event planner

  • Leader that is ready to serve the customer and the team

  • Hard-working is a must! Wedding planning is very rewarding but not glamorous, there is a lot of physical activity involved

  • Available all weekends May-November

  • Creative/great at design (ex. Setting up centerpieces and decor)

How to Advance:

  • Show above-average competence in running events

  • Rounded understanding of the wedding and event industry

  • Outstanding leadership skills

  • Works well with the team

  • Actively advancing the company

  • Is extremely detailed

Transportation: You will be responsible to meet at the event destination, carpooling destination, or workplace destination. Mileage will be reimbursed.

Wage: Starting at $22/hour.

Hours: Privé is looking for both full-time (30-40 hours per week) and  part-time, SEASONAL employees that can work from Mid April - October.

Benefits: Paid mileage. Computer and phone reimbursement.
